A new contempoary 364sqm, 5 bedroom house, constructed around a green oak frame with prefabricated timber panels and a mixture of Purbeck Limestone and Western Red Cedar cladding, with a natural slate roof covering.
Modern minimalist glazing maximises the views over Chichester Harbour. All of the bedrooms are designed to enjoy a view of the harbour.
The ground floor has a lage open plan kthcen/dining/ living spavce that can be reconfigured with bifold partitions to create a highly flexible living space, opening onto a sheltered swimming pool courtyard.
The project includes the construction of a 47sqm detached boat shed.
The house incoporates a twin ground source heat pump system, drawing heat from nine borehole,  which provides heating and hot water for the house and the swimming pool all year round. Photovoltaic panels on the boat shed supply electricity and further minimise the running costs.

The house is clad in a combination of Siberian Larch and face brickwork, with an aluminium standing seam roof.
The house has 4 bedrooms upstairs all enjoying an outlook over the surrounding countyside, and one ground floor bedroom suite with views over a private  garden on the south side of the house.
The house has a large open plan kitchen/dining/living space that is dual aspect, and makes the most of stunning views across farmland and the South Downs to the north. To the south, on the Lane side, a private garden has been created using timber screening and planting.
The house has a ground source heat pump served by 3 boreholes, and 12.6KW of Photovoltaic roof mounted panels backed up by a battery storage system.
Modern minimalist glazing and open plan living areas create a light and airy modern style, which breaks the barriers between indoor and outdoor living.
The staircase is a purpose made steel structure in a double height hall and atrium off the main entrance. Views both north and south from the landing make the most of the countryside setting and the tree lined lane.
The interior design finishes and decorations were hand picked by the client and complement the architecture well.
